What to expect and tips for success.

  1. Yoga is best practiced in bare feet. You are welcome to enter the yoga space without socks and  shoes.

  2. Bring a mat or use one of ours. If you forget a mat or simply don’t have one, we have mats you may use for free. We also offer props for free use in the studio including bolsters, blocks and blankets. Don’t worry if you’re not sure how to use these in a class- we will help you!

  3. If you are more than 10 minutes late for class, please do not enter the studio. It would be difficult to pickup your practice that much into a class. If you’re running late and plan to be in class, please let us know and we can always set up a mat for you so you can walk right in and start practicing.

  4. Wear comfortable clothing that will stretch as you stretch your body.

  5. Please avoid strong fragrances and smoking cigarettes before class. We sometimes diffuse essential oils before, during and after class. If you have a sensitivity to this, please let the instructors know.

  6. Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach, preferably 1-2 hours after your last meal or snack.

  7. Please silence your phones or leave them in the waiting area. You are welcome to bring them into class as long as they don’t ring or vibrate loudly.  

  8. Please inform the instructors if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or are injured.

  9. What if I have to go to the bathroom during class?  If you have to go to the bathroom, you may quietly leave the space and do so. We appreciate a little wave or acknowledgment that you’re leaving for this reason so that we know you’re okay.

  10. Please let us know if you ever have questions! We try to reserve space at the end of each class for questions on poses, breathing and anything related to yoga practice.
